It all started with a sugar cookie…
The “Robyne Huebner Sugar Cookie” has been the most requested item from even before Zuzu’s Bakeshop existed. Family, then friends, and then friends of friends all became bewitched by the famed sugar cookie. It still remains our most popular item. Quickly followed by the Swedish Coffee Bread.
With 30 years of perfecting her baked goods, Robyne was finally coerced by friends and loved ones into making her goodies available to the masses through her home kitchen, which has become Zuzu’s Bakeshop. She loves to bake for gatherings, celebrations, special moments and average Tuesdays. Opening a bakeshop was something Robyne and her husband, Jim, had dreamed about for years. In 2014, Zuzu’s Bakeshop opened it’s “doors” by baking out of her home kitchen and filling orders for friends, businesses, brides and people from all over Northern Colorado. Today, primarily baking mostly for weddings, corporate orders and special events, Zuzu’s Bakeshop is satisfying every tastebud with a variety of cookies, bars, scones, rolls, breads, pies, cakes and so much more.
This year, we’ve also introduced Zuzu’s Bakery Boxes – a monthly subscription to Zuzu’s so you’ll never miss the deliciousness. These boxes are fresh baked and available on the first Thursday of every month. With porch pick-up, delivery and now shipping anywhere in Colorado available, we have expanded our reach to so many lovely people who enjoy a reason to celebrate with baked treats once a month. It is has been a delight to meet new people and create fun surprise boxes for our customers every month.
While we look forward to sharing some of our favorite goodies with you, Robyne’s mantra will always be “I want to be the second best baker you know. Your mom or grandma should always be your favorite.” Because we know the best things (and best tasting things) in life are usually tied with heart strings.
